A Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is a part of the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and has a special legal regime, with all the necessary infrastructure to carry out activities in priority industries.

On the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan there are 12 special economic zones, each with different sectoral orientations.
